How insights work

Pattern summaries, not diagnoses.

The app compares new entries with recent patterns and a developing baseline, then explains what stood out in observational language. It teaches context without prescribing what to do.

Why fluid can build up

One idea at a time. Connect what happens inside the body to the changes you track at home.

  1. 1

    Liver scarring

Blood meets more resistance flowing through the liver.

  2. 2

    Pressure rises

Pressure builds in the portal circulation.

  3. 3

    Salt and water stay

Changes in circulation can make the body retain salt and water, leading to fluid buildup.

Connect it to your check-in

Weight · swelling · sodium intake

From food entry to nutrition context

You log the food. LiverSignals does the math.

The daily check-in connects food search to USDA FoodData Central. Search for everyday or branded foods, select the match, and choose how much you ate.

Protein and sodium estimates are calculated from the selected food and portion, then added to your daily totals. Those totals provide context alongside weight, swelling, and medication logs.

The example shows one food at two servings. Adding more foods builds the day's total; changing a portion updates the estimate.

Integrated nutrition tracker

Search your food. See your totals.

Enter what you ate, select a matching food and portion, and LiverSignals automatically estimates protein and sodium for your daily check-in.

Constellation Connect

A personal view of focus and recall

The new game pairs two short challenges. Signal Shift asks whether a symbol matches a changing target. Orbit Recall briefly shows three symbols, then asks you to choose their original order.

The first five completed checks build your baseline. Later results compare attention, response timing, and recall with your own recent pattern, alongside symptoms and caregiver observations.

This optional, research-stage check takes about 45 seconds. It does not diagnose or rule out hepatic encephalopathy.

Constellation Connect

Two optional mini-challenges for attention, flexible responding, and visual recall. About 45 seconds, with results compared to your own recent pattern.

1 · Signal Shift

Match the symbol to the target. The target changes halfway through.

2 · Orbit Recall

Remember three symbols, then choose their original order.

The first five completed checks build a personal baseline. Review timing and accuracy alongside alertness and caregiver observations.

Research-stage tracking. Does not diagnose or rule out hepatic encephalopathy.

Pattern-based

The app looks at combinations like weight trend, swelling, bowel pattern, mental clarity changes, and timing.

Baseline-aware

Early entries establish what is usual for the person using the app so later summaries can stay specific and calm.

Safety-bounded

No diagnosis language, no medication changes, no real-time alerts, and emergency styling only for emergency contexts.

What the summaries do

  • Lead with what changed in the log
  • Compare current entries with recent patterns
  • Explain why clinicians often review these changes together
  • Keep the language grounded and non-directive

What the summaries do not do

  • They do not diagnose a condition
  • They do not predict readmission
  • They do not tell patients to change medication doses
  • They do not notify a clinic or hepatologist in real time
